I think knowing your self-worth, and standing up for what you deserve, is so underrated. Especially in women. I am the furthest thing from a feminist I might lose some followers for saying that , but I wholeheartedly think that women doubt their worth far too often. Whether that be in relationships, or in careers, no one is ever going to value you more than you value yourself.

I spent the majority of the last 12 months single, and did a lot of self-evaluation during that time. The thing about a break-up is that you usually come out the other side of things stronger and more aware of what you have to offer. I think this really helped me establish my sense of self-worth and set the standard for how I want other people to see and treat me.

When you know your worth, asking for compensation for your time and work, regardless of the project, feels right. When you know your worth, you can be yourself in all of the various relationships in your life. When you know your worth, you know that you can speak up in a meeting, because your opinion matters.

When you know your worth, you know that your time is valuable, and only give it to those who deserve it. This week I found that I was questioning my worth, and needed to check myself. There will never be another you, and that is your power. I hope this post reminds you of that. Notify me of follow-up comments by . Notify me of new posts by .
